The White M Hairstreak is a stunning hairstreak with iridescent royal blue upper wings and a distinctive white M or W mark on the underside of the hindwing. It inhabits mature oak forests and adults tend to perch in the treetops, making them a sought-after find when they descend to nectar. Males are sometimes seen mud-puddling.
