Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This policy explains what Huck collects through this website (huck-app.com) and how we use it. We keep this deliberately simple.

What we collect

Email address, only if you choose to give it to us through a signup form. When you do, we also record whether you ticked the box to receive promotional updates, and the date you did so.

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not sell your personal information.

How we use your email

To send you the updates you signed up for. If you did not tick the promotional-updates box, we will not send you marketing email. Before we send any promotional email, we will ask you to confirm your subscription, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Where it's stored

Email signups are stored securely with our infrastructure providers (Upstash and Vercel). We retain them until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing privacy@huck-app.com. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights, which we honor.

Third-party data

Wildlife sightings shown on our maps come from iNaturalist. Map tiles are provided by Stadia Maps, Stamen Design, and OpenStreetMap contributors.
