The Canada Warbler is a sleek, gray-backed warbler with a yellow breast crossed by a distinctive black 'necklace' of streaks and bold yellow spectacles. It inhabits cool, moist forest understories and is one of the last warblers to arrive in spring and one of the first to depart in late summer. Populations are declining due to loss of both boreal breeding habitat and South American wintering grounds.
