The Rose-throated Becard is a Mexican and Central American species that barely reaches the United States in Arizona and Texas, where small numbers breed in riparian sycamore canyons. The male has a rosy-pink throat patch and a large, rounded head. It builds a distinctive, large, gourd-shaped hanging nest of plant fibers suspended from a tree branch.
