Flores's Desert Shrew is a recently described desert shrew known from northeastern Mexico and possibly adjacent Texas. Like Crawford's desert shrew, it is adapted to arid conditions with efficient kidneys. Only a handful of specimens are known, making it one of the least-documented North American small mammals.
