The Southern Green Stink Bug is a vivid shield-green pest widespread in warm regions worldwide. Adults and nymphs pierce plant tissue with needle-like mouthparts and inject saliva that damages crops. Winter form adults develop a brownish-red coloration that reverts to green when spring warms. It is a major pest of soybeans, tomatoes, and other crops.
