The Smooth-billed Ani is a Caribbean cuckoo with a smooth, laterally compressed, boat-shaped bill. It is found in the US in southern Florida and is resident in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Like other anis, it lives in social groups. Its population in Florida has declined sharply and it may no longer breed regularly there.
