Safety note: May carry rabies — do not approach or handle.

The Wrinkle-faced Bat has one of the most extraordinary faces of any bat—a deeply wrinkled, folded mask of bare skin with no nose leaf, unique among American bats. During roosting it can draw a skin flap over its face like a mask. It inhabits tropical forests from Mexico through Central America and feeds on soft, ripe fruit.
