Bendire's Thrasher is a pale desert thrasher of the Sonoran Desert closely related to the Curve-billed Thrasher and difficult to distinguish in the field. The straight, shorter bill and spotted breast are the best marks. It is found in open desert scrub and saguaro cactus forest. Populations have declined with desert urbanization.
