Bicknell's Thrush is one of the most poorly known songbirds in North America, breeding only on the highest mountain summits in New England and the Maritimes in stunted spruce-fir forest. Split from the Gray-cheeked Thrush in 1995, it has a remarkable mating system in which multiple females share territories with multiple males. It winters in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
