The Silver Long-jawed Orb Weaver is a slender, metallic silver spider that rests along grass and reed stems with forelegs extended forward, nearly invisible against the background. It is a common inhabitant of wet meadows and marsh edges, where it builds small tilted orb webs low in vegetation. The silvery abdomen may reflect light as camouflage among shining water droplets.
