The Silvery Blue is a small, bright blue butterfly with a distinctive row of black spots on the underside of its wings ringed in white, giving it a jeweled appearance. It has a single short flight period in spring and early summer. Males actively patrol low vegetation and often mud-puddle alongside other small blues.

Larvae: flowers of vetches, lupines, and other legumes. Adults: nectar
