The Frantzius's Hairy-legged Bat is a Neotropical Lasiurus that barely enters southern Mexico at the northern extent of its range. It is a forest-edge bat associated with riparian corridors and forest clearings. Very little is known about its ecology, making it one of the least-studied North American bat species.
