The Pacific White-sided Dolphin is a boisterous, acrobatic dolphin of the North Pacific that frequently associates with other cetacean species and is a common sight on whale-watching trips off California and the Pacific Northwest. Its black back, white belly, and pale gray side patches create a striking pattern. Large pods often herd fish schools cooperatively.
