Pallas's Long-tongued Bat is a small nectar bat of tropical forests with an elongated rostrum and brush-tipped tongue adapted for lapping nectar from flowers. It is an important pollinator of tropical plants including bananas, avocados, and agaves throughout Mexico and Central America. Unlike many bat pollinators, it can hover briefly in front of flowers.
