The Argentine Brown Bat is a tropical Eptesicus reaching the northern fringe of Central America and approaching the southern boundary of North America. It is closely related to the Big Brown Bat but is smaller and restricted to tropical latitudes. It roosts in buildings, tree hollows, and rock crevices in lowland tropical habitats.
