Illustration of Fish Crow (Corvus ossifragus)

The Fish Crow is a smaller relative of the American Crow found along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, where it scavenges at beaches and raids colonial waterbird nests. It is nearly identical to the American Crow and best distinguished by its distinctly nasal, two-noted 'uh-uh' call. It has been expanding inland along rivers and increasingly into urban areas.
