The Striped Hog-nosed Skunk is a Neotropical skunk of open grasslands and dry forests from Mexico through Central America and into South America. It has two narrow white stripes on its back and uses its elongated, flexible snout to root through soil for beetles and grubs. The species barely enters the geographic area of North America through its Mexican and Belizean range.
