Adam's Needle is a native yucca of dry, sandy soils of the southeastern Atlantic and Gulf coastal plain, with curly white fibers along the leaf margins and tall spikes of cream-white flowers. It has been widely planted in gardens throughout North America. Like all yuccas, it depends entirely on yucca moths for pollination in a highly specific mutualism.
