The Virginian Tiger Moth is a fluffy white moth with rows of black spots on its yellow abdomen, one of the most common white moths at porch lights across North America. Its caterpillar, the 'yellow woolly bear,' is entirely pale yellow-tan and is one of the most frequently encountered fuzzy caterpillars in late summer. Adults are nocturnal and do not feed.
