Weidemeyer's Admiral is a striking western admiral butterfly with bold white bands across black wings and a row of orange spots. It is the western counterpart of the White Admiral and inhabits mountain streams and canyon bottoms where its cottonwood and willow host plants grow. Males patrol territories and glide conspicuously along stream corridors.
