Bebb's Willow is one of the most widespread willows of boreal and montane North America, growing in a wide range of moist habitats from stream banks to alpine tundra. Beavers heavily use it for food and dam construction. Its catkins are an important early pollen source for native bees, and it provides nesting habitat for many songbirds.
