Arizona White Oak is a semi-evergreen oak of the mountain ranges of southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and adjacent Mexico, where it forms mixed oak woodlands with Emory Oak, Mexican Blue Oak, and Silverleaf Oak. It is a medium-sized tree with blue-gray to gray-green leaves and produces round acorns that are an important food source for wildlife in the biodiverse sky island region. The Madrean oak woodlands it anchors are among the most diverse biotic communities in North America.
