The Black-billed Magpie is a large, boldly patterned black-and-white corvid with an extraordinarily long, iridescent green tail. It builds enormous domed nests of sticks with a mud bowl inside and a side entrance, which are later reused by other cavity nesters. Like other corvids, it is highly intelligent and will mob predators, cache food, and learn to exploit new food sources quickly.
