The Raccoon Dog is an Asian canid that has been kept in North American fur farms and occasionally escapes, with rare feral reports in the United States. It has a raccoon-like masked face but is a true canid related to foxes. The raccoon dog is the only canid known to hibernate and is highly invasive in parts of Europe following intentional introductions.
