The Amazon Weasel is a little-known mustelid of Amazonian South America, included here as it may have peripheral representation in far eastern Panama. It is reddish-brown with pale underparts and inhabits humid tropical forest. It is one of the least-known and least-studied mustelid species in the Americas.
