The Spotted Tussock Moth is a handsome yellow moth with a pattern of large, irregular brown spots forming bands across its wings. Its caterpillar is a tussock type bearing bundles of yellow and black hair. It is common in northern forests where willow and alder grow, and adults are frequently at lights in late spring.
