The Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch is a high-altitude specialist that breeds on the edges of glaciers and snowfields, feeding on insects and seeds blown onto snow. It has pink-flushed wings and belly with a gray crown. In winter it descends to lower elevations where it can be attracted to seed feeders at mountain ski areas.
