The Baltimore Oriole is a brilliantly colored blackbird — male's flaming orange and black plumage is one of the most vivid sights in North American birdwatching — and is the namesake of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. It weaves a remarkable hanging pouch nest from plant fibers and hair suspended from the drooping end of a tall branch. It has a notable fondness for oranges and grape jelly at feeding stations.
