The Big Mexican Small-eared Shrew is one of the larger Cryptotis shrews, found in humid montane forests of Oaxaca and Chiapas in Mexico. It has small, nearly hidden ears and a short tail, typical of the genus. Very little ecological information has been gathered for this species.
