Eastern Baccharis, also called groundsel bush, is a native shrub of coastal and freshwater wetlands along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Female plants produce stunning clouds of fluffy white seed heads in autumn. It provides important nesting and cover habitat for coastal birds and supports many specialist insects.
