The Bicolored Striped Sweat Bee is a striking small bee where males have a metallic green head and thorax with a black-and-yellow striped abdomen, while females are entirely metallic green. It is one of the most dazzling common bees in eastern North America. Females excavate burrows in bare or sparse soil and are sometimes communal, sharing a single nest entrance.
