Showy Goldenrod is considered the most beautiful of the native goldenrods, with dense, upright, plume-like flower clusters of deep gold blooming in September. It grows in dry to mesic prairies and open woodlands across eastern and central North America. Like all goldenrods, it provides exceptional late-season nectar and pollen for native bees and migrating monarchs.
