Roundleaf Greenbrier is a thorny, climbing native vine of eastern forest edges and thickets, with green stems, round glossy leaves, and clusters of dark blue-black berries. Despite its formidable thorns, the berries are an important food for mockingbirds, catbirds, and many other birds. The thorny thickets provide exceptional nesting and escape cover for wildlife.
