Rosebay Rhododendron is the largest-leaved rhododendron in the eastern United States, forming dense understory thickets in moist, shaded ravines and stream corridors from New England to Georgia. Its white to pale pink flowers bloom in June and July. The dense, year-round canopy provides critical thermal cover for deer and many birds in winter.
