Yellow Monkeyflower is one of the most widespread native wildflowers of western North America, growing along stream banks and wet seeps from Alaska to Mexico. Its yellow flowers with red spots attract bumblebees that squeeze inside the tubular corolla to access nectar. It forms extensive colonies along cold mountain streams.
