Lorquin's Admiral is a boldly patterned western admiral with white forewing bands and distinctive orange forewing tips — the only North American Limenitis with orange-tipped forewings. It glides elegantly along stream corridors and woodland edges in California and the Pacific Northwest. It hybridizes with the White Admiral where ranges briefly overlap in the Northwest.

Riparian corridors, forest edges, and canyon streams of the West
Diet
Larvae: willow, cottonwood, and cherry. Adults: sap, carrion, and nectar
