Lorquin's Admiral is a boldly patterned western admiral with white forewing bands and distinctive orange forewing tips — the only North American Limenitis with orange-tipped forewings. It glides elegantly along stream corridors and woodland edges in California and the Pacific Northwest. It hybridizes with the White Admiral where ranges briefly overlap in the Northwest.
