Veiny Pea is a native climbing vine of moist prairie edges and open woodlands across eastern and central North America, producing clusters of pink-to-purple pea flowers in late spring. It climbs on other vegetation with tendrils and is an important nectar plant for bumblebees and larger native bees in prairie habitats.
