The Bronze Carabid is a medium-sized ground beetle with lustrous bronze-green elytra and reddish-brown legs. Unlike many ground beetles it is primarily a seed-feeder, making it an important dispersal agent for weed seeds in agricultural systems. It is common in disturbed habitats and gardens throughout North America.
