Blanketflower is a perennial wildflower of dry prairies and mountain meadows in western North America, with bold red-and-yellow ray flowers. It is exceptionally long-blooming, from June through September, and highly drought-tolerant. Native bees, painted ladies, and skippers visit the flowers, and goldfinches eat the seeds.
