Anna's Hummingbird is the only hummingbird that overwinters across most of the Pacific Coast, sustained partly by flowering plants and feeders in suburban gardens. The male has an iridescent rose-pink crown and gorget that extends across the entire head. It is the only North American hummingbird whose male sings a complex, scratchy song.
