Clark's Grebe is nearly identical to the Western Grebe and performs the same spectacular rushing courtship display. Clark's orange bill (vs. yellow-green in Western) and white around the eye rather than below it are the key differences. The two species co-occur on the same lakes and rarely hybridize.
