Huck Wildlife New Tab is built to be private. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking, and it never sells or shares any data.
The extension makes only these requests:
- It loads species artwork from Huck’s content servers and, for the “spotted near you” strip, recent sightings from Huck’s public API.
- To center that strip on your area it uses a coarse, city-level location derived from your IP address. This needs no browser location permission, sets no cookie, and is never stored or logged. Results are cached only in your browser for a few hours.
The extension does not read your browsing history, your other tabs, or the pages you visit. Questions: privacy@huck-app.com.
